About the role#
F&G is hiring a Business Intelligence Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our Retail Sales and Operations teams through data analysis, exploration, and reporting. You will work directly with the Business Intelligence team to build data processes and improve our internal reporting capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Meet with business users to identify data needs and define functional specifications for new reports.
- Develop automated dashboards and reports using Tableau, SQL Server Management Studio, and Excel.
- Create ETL processes using Alteryx to extract and load data from various sources.
- Translate raw data into clear visual insights.
- Collaborate with developers to automate existing reporting processes.
- Document and apply best practices for Tableau dashboard lifecycles.
- Provide support to Tableau Server users regarding access and technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Science, or Information Systems.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong SQL development skills, including the ability to write complex queries.
- Familiarity with data preparation and dashboarding principles.
- Experience with operating systems and commercial software.
- Ability to document technical processes and communicate clearly with team members.
- Knowledge of Tableau is preferred.
- Experience with Life Insurance or Indexed Annuity data is a plus.
