About the role#
This 11-week internship program starting in Summer 2027 offers students hands-on experience in the insurance and care management sectors. You will work with cross-functional teams to extract, analyze, and interpret large data sets that influence strategic business decisions. The program focuses on building professional networks, attending technical development classes, and contributing to projects that improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Use programming skills to explore and interpret large-scale data.
- Determine techniques to manipulate complex, high-volume data.
- Develop insights through modeling and analysis.
- Evaluate business problems and improve the speed of analytical insights.
- Perform data mining on structured and unstructured data related to claims, policies, and payments.
- Assist in building dashboards and reporting tools.
- Focus on automation to provide repeatable reporting solutions.
- Present your accomplishments to leadership.
- Participate in community service events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, operations research, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong analytical ability and clear communication skills for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
- Experience with big data technologies or data visualization tools is preferred.
