About the role#
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Information Technology Department in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You will work directly with our Application Development Team on projects directed by the Back/Front End Applications Supervisor. This is a paid, on-site internship that requires at least 20 hours per week during school semesters and 40 hours during school breaks. We offer flexibility to accommodate your class schedule.
What you'll do#
- Harvest legacy Dotnet applications.
- Create incident reports using ServiceNow.
- Participate in projects using agile principles.
- Perform application testing to ensure quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Computer Science or Software Development.
- Knowledge of at least one of these languages: SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C+, or .NET.
- A working knowledge of SQL and general web concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to resolve high-priority issues and learn new technologies quickly.
- Capacity to maintain confidential information.
