    About the role#

    Dodge County is looking for a student to join our team as a Food Service Worker. This is a part-time, paid position based in Juneau, Wisconsin. The role involves supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring our residents receive quality meals in a safe, clean environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the cook in preparing high-quality, bulk quantities of menu items following established recipes.
    • Prep ingredients for hot dishes and cold-serve foods.
    • Wash and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, counters, and floors to meet Health Department standards.
    • Maintain food storage areas and keep work spaces clean.
    • Track and update resident diet changes and report any changes in resident condition.
    • Restock supplies, clear tables, and empty trash receptacles as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Knowledge of quality food preparation, storage, and sanitation practices.
    • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and follow recipes for large quantities.
    • Familiarity with Health Department rules, SafeServ guidelines, and proper use of PPE.
    • Ability to maintain resident privacy and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
    • Willingness to work in a kitchen environment that includes exposure to extreme heat and cold.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Juneau, Wisconsin (On-site).
    • Schedule: General hours are 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Availability on weekends and during summer or school breaks is required.
    • Compensation: Starting wage is $16.85 per hour, with a $3.00 per hour weekend differential.
