About the role#
Dodge County is hiring a student for a part-time Food Service Worker position. This role supports our kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment. You will work alongside our cooking staff to provide quality meals for residents.
What you'll do#
- Assist the cook with preparing bulk menu items using established recipes.
- Prep ingredients for hot dishes and cold-serve foods.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, counters, and floors to meet Health Department standards.
- Clear and clean tables and chairs after meals.
- Maintain food storage areas and report any hazardous equipment or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Restock condiments and silverware as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to follow recipes and cook in large quantities.
- Knowledge of food preparation, storage, and sanitation safety.
- Understanding of personal protective equipment and how to use it safely.
- Commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to work tactfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
Location & details#
- Location: Juneau, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: General hours are 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You must be available every other weekend. Additional hours are available during summer and school breaks.
- Compensation: Starting wage is $16.85 per hour, with a $3.00 per hour weekend differential.
- Status: This is a part-time, non-exempt position.
