About the role#
Ducommun Incorporated is looking for a Supply Chain Intern at our Appleton, Wisconsin facility. This position is available for the Summer 2027 or Fall 2026 terms. You will work on-site as a full-time team member to support our manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage material flow by expediting or deferring components.
- Place orders and handle component maintenance to address shortages.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure a consistent pipeline of materials.
- Participate in supply chain projects focused on DOI, PPV, and DPO metrics.
- Develop supply chain programs for specific components.
- Identify and propose process changes to improve overall performance.
- Handle additional tasks and duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Business Administration, preferably with a major in Supply Chain Management.
- Junior or Senior status as of the 2026 spring semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas.
- Understanding of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning).
- Ability to write reports, draft business correspondence, and present information to management.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to reliable attendance.
- Willingness to work extra hours when required.
- Experience with an ERP system and APICS certification are considered a plus.
