About the role#
The Construction Management Co-op Rotational Program offers students the chance to participate in two to three sessions across different departments. You will gain exposure to Transmission Work Management, Construction Management, and Project Management. You will work with a program coordinator to plan your rotations. This is a full-time, 16-week program running from January 2027 to May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience in scheduling, strategic oversight of work plans, and resource allocation.
- Support transmission groups in the planning and execution of construction and maintenance projects.
- Track construction production and status in the field.
- Act as a liaison between contractors and internal teams to meet safety, financial, and schedule goals.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and management of projects, including cost control.
- Participate in the design and analysis of structures, systems, and facilities.
- Learn about project lifecycle management and cross-departmental coordination.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Must not graduate prior to August 2027.
- Cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest in working in an engineering, construction, or project management environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Location & details#
- Locations: Cincinnati, Ohio and Plainfield, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Travel: 5-15% travel to project sites may be required.
- Requirements: You must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship. This role involves field work and may require the use of personal protective equipment and exposure to various site hazards.
