About the role#
This internship involves performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on utility vehicles and equipment. You will work on passenger cars, pickup trucks, SUVs, medium trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment. Work occurs in a garage environment or at field locations depending on business needs.
What you'll do#
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on light and medium duty vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with Federal DOT inspections and dielectric test inspections.
- Diagnose and repair light and medium vehicles, trailers, and powered equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electric system components and basic A/C systems.
- Perform hydraulic brake system and component repairs.
- Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs on various vehicles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a two-year degree program for Automotive Technology or a similar field.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
- A valid driver's license.
- Expected graduation date no earlier than May 2027.
- Ability to lift or push at least 100 pounds several times per shift.
- Ability to work in a garage environment with noise, fumes, and dust.
