About the role#
The Office Intern supports daily operations and administrative tasks at Electra Grid Solutions. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional office environment, covering guest services, inventory management, and internal team support. You will work under the guidance of the Office Manager to help keep our office running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and employees as the primary front desk representative.
- Manage guest arrivals and maintain a welcoming lobby.
- Handle office supplies, including tracking inventory and reordering items.
- Provide administrative support through printing, filing, and organizing documents.
- Assist with ordering and tracking PPE kits for new hires.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and manage mail or packages.
- Support meeting room setup and help maintain shared office spaces.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
- An organized, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for supplies and deliveries.
- No prior office experience is required, though previous customer service or administrative work is a plus.
