    About the role#

    The Radiology Student works under the supervision of a registered technologist to perform diagnostic imaging. This is a PRN position based in Wilmington, North Carolina. You will support the Radiology Department by assisting with patient care, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks.

    What you'll do#

    • Critique and perform quality diagnostic imaging under supervision.
    • Produce diagnostic X-ray films for medical diagnosis.
    • Prep patients for exams, including explaining procedures and ensuring correct orders.
    • Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department.
    • Adjust X-ray machine controls, angles, and positioning to ensure image quality.
    • Utilize imaging software to transmit diagnostic images.
    • Monitor X-ray equipment for malfunctions and restock department supplies.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma.
    • Current enrollment in an Accredited Radiologic Technologist training program.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, safety hazards, and contraindications.
    • Ability to use email, internet applications, and practice management software.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and providers.
