About the role#
EmergeOrtho is hiring a Radiology Student to work in our Coastal region. This role provides an opportunity to gain clinical experience in an orthopedic setting under the supervision of a registered technologist. You will work on-site at our Shipyard office, with potential travel to other locations in the region. This is a PRN, paid position with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Produce diagnostic X-ray films to assist in medical diagnoses.
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures in detail.
- Safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department.
- Adjust X-ray machine controls to capture high-quality images with proper density and contrast.
- Monitor X-ray equipment for malfunctions and report issues to ensure safety.
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies within the department.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Current enrollment in an Accredited Radiologic Technologist training program.
- Active CPR certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Proficiency with email and internet applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
