About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction operations and materials testing. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, and lab staff to support heavy civil construction projects. The program runs during the summer of 2027 and is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams on the planning, execution, and management of construction work.
- Spend time on job sites to observe and participate in daily construction activities.
- Assist with project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Perform lab tests on materials such as concrete and soil.
- Identify and report quality control issues or concerns to the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Civil Engineering or Chemistry.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
