About the role#
The ERCOT Internship Program offers students a chance to build professional skills within a technical environment. You will work alongside our staff as part of a team, completing assignments and projects that address real challenges within the electric industry. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Solve real-world challenges facing the electric industry through assigned projects.
- Develop professional skills in a technical work environment.
- Collaborate with ERCOT employees and contribute to team objectives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate (at least sophomore year) or graduate degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Audit, Finance, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AI tools and data visualization software.
Location & details#
- The role is based in Taylor, Texas.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring you to be on-site at least 2 days per week.
- The internship runs from early June through the second week of August 2027.
