    About the role#

    As a Lab Network Engineer Intern, you will join the Services Lab Operations team in Raleigh. You will learn to design, implement, and troubleshoot networks using our multi-layer Ethernet switches. This role prepares you for a future career as a Network Engineer or Technical Support Engineer.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn our networking products, routing and switching protocols, and daily lab operations.
    • Set up networking equipment for Technical Support Engineers to use for customer support.
    • Work with engineers to replicate customer issues involving software, hardware, and configuration.
    • Assist with physical lab tasks like racking, cabling, and troubleshooting equipment.
    • Document work activities and help improve lab processes.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • You have basic networking knowledge, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, the OSI model, and routing and switching.
    • You have experience in a service-oriented position.
    • You can work independently and also collaborate effectively with team members.
    • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with Windows, Linux, and setting up home networks is preferred.

    • This is an on-site, full-time internship based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
    • The position is paid.
    • Sponsorship is not available for this role.
