    About the role#

    This 10-week summer internship program places students directly within market-facing teams. You will work on the Fannie Mae Market Room trading floor to gain exposure to mortgage-backed securities and fixed-income markets. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Support capital markets transactions, trading activities, and securitization processes.
    • Monitor market conditions and prepare market commentary and business updates.
    • Collaborate with markets, transactions, risk, operations, and technology partners to support business priorities.
    • Assist with reporting, risk monitoring, controls, and process improvement.
    • Organize and interpret financial and operational information to support business decisions.

    What you'll need#

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
    • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience analyzing information and preparing clear reports.
    • A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.

    Location & details#

    • This position is located in Washington, D.C. at the Midtown Center office.
    • The role is on-site and full-time.
    • The pay rate for this position is $35.00 per hour.
