About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program places you within the Treasury and Capital Markets Analytics group. You will work on the trading floor alongside market professionals, gaining exposure to mortgage-backed securities and fixed-income markets. The role focuses on applying mathematics, statistics, and programming to solve problems in valuation, trading, and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Conduct quantitative research and statistical analysis on financial market data to support pricing, trading, and risk management.
- Develop reproducible analyses, data visualizations, and research tools using Python, R, or SQL.
- Prototype, test, validate, and monitor valuation, forecasting, pricing, and risk models.
- Apply machine-learning and artificial-intelligence tools to improve analytical capabilities and automate workflows.
- Collaborate with traders, analysts, and technology partners to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of Spring 2028.
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or Finance.
- Coursework in probability, statistics, econometrics, time-series analysis, or financial modeling.
- Experience with data analysis and at least one programming language or analytical tool, such as Python, R, or SQL.
