About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our structural team on project design and analysis. This is a full-time position based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural components and systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Visit project sites to observe construction and verify design compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other teams.
- Use CAD software and engineering tools to support design development.
- Join project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A basic understanding of structural engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software like AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
