About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply your classroom knowledge to programs that support national defense. You will work on projects that support national security missions while working alongside a group of experienced colleagues. This role involves developing solutions that allow customers to carry out high-stakes operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams on various technical projects.
- Develop software solutions, primarily using Java and Javascript.
- Identify opportunities to use AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work in a Linux development environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Preference for students with sophomore standing or higher.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Java or Javascript. C++ experience is a plus.
- A clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and technical standards.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
- A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at the time of hire.

- This position is located on-site in Manassas, Virginia.
- The internship is full-time and paid.
- This is a rolling term position.
