    About the role#

    This is a hands-on manufacturing co-op position. You will provide mechanical support for plant operations, including new and replacement programs. You will work directly with plant personnel and skilled trades to troubleshoot equipment, improve processes, and manage mechanical projects. This is a paid, full-time role requiring 40 hours per week in a plant environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform mechanical root cause analysis and solve technical problems.
    • Analyze products, processes, and technology to determine the most effective manufacturing methods.
    • Assist in the design and construction of tools and equipment, or recommend improvements to existing processes.
    • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel for specialized equipment.
    • Troubleshoot maintenance and equipment issues.
    • Coordinate machinery upgrade projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a co-op program through Kettering University or Rochester Institute of Technology.
    • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2030.
    • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Ability to work in a loud, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive physical movements like bending and reaching.
    • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
