About the role#
The Girl Scout Experience Team at Girl Scouts of Citrus is looking for an intern to help manage and develop events for youth and adult members. This team oversees all council programs in Central Florida, including STEM workshops, educational programs, high adventure activities, and badge events. This is an unpaid internship opportunity, though the council provides stipends for expenses related to major events like overnights.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate logistics for small and large events, including attendance at planning meetings and assistance with registration.
- Help with event set-up and breakdown, and provide general support on the day of the event.
- Collaborate with community partners to ensure events run smoothly.
- Turn badge requirements into clear activity guides for future programming.
- Provide administrative help for the Highest Awards program.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills for event planning and support.
- Effective written communication skills.
- A willingness to coordinate event logistics and work with community partners.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Business Administration, Public Health, or Human Resources.
