    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern or Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineers, operators, maintenance technicians, and leaders to support pulp mill operations, process optimization, and reliability improvement.

    What you'll do#

    • Support daily pulp mill operations by helping troubleshoot process, equipment, and reliability issues.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and process data to identify performance improvement opportunities.
    • Assist with process monitoring, testing, and optimization efforts.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Provide leadership in supporting a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and following safe work practices.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • A commitment to safety and safe work practices.
    • Must have reliable transportation.

    • Location: Franklin, Virginia.
    • This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
    • Term: Rolling.
