About the role#
Global Information Technology is hiring a Youth Intern to support our social media and outreach efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, professional communication, and workplace readiness. It is a paid position intended for students or early-career individuals interested in marketing, communications, or business operations.
What you'll do#
- Create and schedule social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
- Draft captions, announcements, and promotional posts.
- Use simple tools to design basic graphics, images, and short videos.
- Monitor audience engagement and track basic performance metrics.
- Maintain content calendars and posting schedules.
- Support online community engagement activities.
- Follow brand guidelines and professional standards.
- Assist with general administrative or marketing tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are in the early-career or student age range.
- You have an interest in social media, marketing, or communications.
- You possess basic computer literacy and are familiar with social platforms.
- You have a high school diploma, a GED, or are currently enrolled in school.
- You demonstrate a creative mindset and attention to detail.
- You have basic writing and communication skills.
- You are willing to learn and follow workplace expectations.
- You can work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Canva, social media apps, or mobile video tools is a plus.
- You are reliable and maintain professional conduct.
Location & details#
- Location: Southfield, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling, with an expected duration of 4 to 6 months.
