About the role#
This position focuses on building relationships with fundraising volunteers and implementing peer-to-peer fundraising products. You will work within a designated market area to meet revenue goals for Blood Cancer United. This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring travel within the area and occasional evening or weekend work.
What you'll do#
- Drive peer-to-peer fundraising to meet annual budget goals.
- Implement campaign standards across your event portfolio.
- Track key performance indicators to monitor revenue performance and adjust activities as needed.
- Partner with the Campaign Development Director and Director of Campaign Excellence to create strategic plans.
- Build a sponsorship pipeline by prospecting corporate partners and closing partnership agreements.
- Collaborate with the Education, Services, and Health Research department to communicate the organization mission.
- Organize local donor cultivation events and identify high-impact donors for national stewardship.
- Recruit and cultivate high-level volunteer committees.
- Research and network to secure new partners and volunteers.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a directly relatable role.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of sales channels, including digital and social media.
- Ability to supervise and lead volunteer groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Skill in influencing and persuading others.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and organizational partners.
Location & details#
- Location: San Luis Obispo, California.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $41 to $43 per hour ($75,000 to $80,000 per year).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
