About the role#
As an Audit IT Assurance Intern, you will join our engagement team to deliver a full range of IT audit services. You will work alongside Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to assess information systems controls in support of financial statement audits. This role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems control review engagements.
- Apply knowledge of IT trends and systems processes to identify security and risk management issues.
- Maintain professionalism and build rapport with clients.
- Interact with client management to manage expectations and resolve problems.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Participate in recruiting and business development activities.
- Meet or exceed IT Assurance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Required training or experience in Information Security.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment.
- Effective project and time management skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site).
