About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027. You will work with engineers and project managers to support daily tasks on infrastructure and real estate development projects. The position lasts for 3 consecutive months and provides hands-on field experience.
What you'll do#
- Support construction projects through field work, including soil and groundwater sampling.
- Perform in-situ density testing and observe earthwork and foundation construction.
- Visit construction sites to assist with monitoring services.
- Help plan and execute site characterization and subsurface investigations.
- Evaluate geotechnical and environmental data.
- Assist with geotechnical design, analysis, and the development of recommendations.
- Support the laboratory manager with geotechnical testing on soil samples.
- Deliver a presentation at the end of your internship.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of completed coursework in an environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, or geoscience program.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn new tasks.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Availability to work full-time for 3 consecutive months.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in either Holicong, Pennsylvania, or Princeton, New Jersey.
- This is a paid position with an hourly rate between $22.00 and $25.00.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
