About the role#
Halff is seeking an intern to join our Landscape Architecture team in Austin. You will work with an interdisciplinary group of landscape architects and planners on a variety of public and private projects. These include park and trail planning, urban plazas, streetscapes, and transportation enhancements.
What you'll do#
- Participate in site inventory and analysis.
- Assist with project research and data compilation for the design process.
- Produce conceptual site planning and graphics, including hand and digital renderings.
- Create schematic and preliminary design plans, along with construction document plans and details.
- Develop quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Assist with the preparation of technical specifications for bid documents.
- Produce landscape compliance documents and maps for planning projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for landscape architecture.
- Strong design and graphic skills, with an interest in site analysis and construction documentation.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and motivated mindset.
- Good communication skills.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Austin, Texas.
- The term runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
- The position is paid hourly. Housing is not provided.
