About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the State and Local Tax (SALT) service line. You will work with diverse clients including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. This is a paid, full-time summer program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare state and local income tax returns and related work papers.
- Handle indirect state tax returns for multiple entities.
- Draft responses to technical correspondence from taxing authorities.
- Identify tax issues and propose resolutions.
- Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget goals.
- Perform tax research and self-review your work.
- Collaborate with team members, buddies, and managers to build professional skills.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and July 2028.
- You have a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or a similar campus accounting organization.
- You possess strong technical aptitude and clear communication skills.
- You are available to work 40 hours per week from mid-June through mid-August 2027.
