About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will work alongside Project Managers to plan, execute, and finalize construction projects. You serve as the primary link between the field and the office, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. This program offers hands-on experience across various project types and phases of construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Managers with daily operations and project objectives.
- Maintain detailed job logs, including transmittals, submittals, and RFIs.
- Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and engineers.
- Collaborate with superintendents to track materials and manage labor schedules.
- Champion jobsite safety and monitor accident prevention.
- Participate in the Change Order process and assist with estimating using Accubid.
- Analyze subcontract agreements to understand scope and pricing.
- Work with the BIM department on coordination and planning.
- Order prefabricated assemblies and handle equipment procurement.
- Walk jobsites to learn the trade and improve project performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Basic math skills for data calculation and analysis.
- Initiative and a focus on improving department processes.
- Previous construction or internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship with an hourly rate between $21.00 and $29.00, depending on location and experience.
