About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time paid summer internship based at our factory in Jefferson City, Missouri. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real-world projects that support our production goals. This program is designed to provide you with a learning experience where you can contribute to our team while building your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Spend 80% of your day on the manufacturing floor to support safety, quality, and production.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and bump caps.
- Collaborate with our global community of employees.
- Prioritize and manage a variety of different projects.
- Communicate clearly with staff who maintain and repair production and facilities machinery.
What you'll need#
- You are currently obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- You must have existing work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- You work well within a team and can communicate across different cultures.
- You are self-motivated and can work independently when needed.
- You have strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
