About the role#
This position supports the Quality Control team at our Oshkosh facility. You will assist Quality Control Chemists with daily laboratory operations and ensure that our quality assurance practices are followed. This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week, primarily on the first shift. The internship runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support daily laboratory activities and perform quality control analysis on incoming, manufactured, and outgoing materials.
- Manage instrument maintenance, calibrations, and the preparation and standardization of solutions.
- Handle administrative tasks, including the generation, distribution, and filing of Certificates of Analysis.
- Maintain accurate and legible records of all laboratory work.
- Keep the laboratory clean and organized, including washing glassware.
- Participate in required health, safety, and process training, including RCRA compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemistry degree program as a Junior or Senior.
- Completion of core coursework in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, along with their associated labs.
- Strong laboratory analytical skills and basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.
- Ability to apply advanced math skills to solve problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be RCRA compliant.
