About the role#
This co-op position offers the chance to work on the development and testing of the OmniPod System, a low power, battery-operated wearable medical device. You will gain experience in electrical engineering while working within a team focused on medical device technology. This role runs from January 11, 2027, through June 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and document test fixtures and prototype circuit boards.
- Research practical applications of new technologies.
- Assist in the rapid prototyping of circuit board assemblies.
- Conduct verification testing against written protocols.
- Perform data entry and analysis, then summarize your findings in test reports.
- Use oscilloscopes, power supplies, and perform soldering of surface mount components.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics and have completed at least 2 to 3 years of your degree.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility in accepting assignments and schedules.
- A sense of responsibility and pride in your work.
- Professional behavior and appearance.
- Knowledge of Cadence OrCAD, MatLab, or Ansys HFSS is a plus.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy is also a plus.
- You must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
