About the role#
International Justice Mission is looking for Communications and Partnerships interns and fellows to help share our work with a global audience. These roles support our headquarters and field staff by sourcing and developing content that explains our efforts to protect people from violence. You will act as an internal reporter, capturing stories and news items from our programs to support our mission.
What you'll do#
- Identify and develop stories and news items on IJM programs for reports, web updates, and speeches.
- Conduct field research and write issue-focused stories that highlight our work.
- Arrange interviews and establish contacts with media operators and other entities.
- Draft press releases following significant events for local media.
- Support the creation of promotional materials and the execution of key events.
- Maintain files on relevant news and manage promotional inventory.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree or at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience in Communications, Media, Public Relations, or Event Management.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Fluency in Spanish is required for roles in Latin America offices.
- Ability to practice a mature orthodox Christian faith.
Location & details#
- This position is based in the District of Columbia with a hybrid work modality.
- The program terms are Summer 2027, Fall 2027, and Winter 2028.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
