About the role#
The Accounting Internship at ITC Holdings Corp. offers hands-on experience in financial practices during the Summer 2027 term. You will work on a rotational basis with various groups, including financial reporting, internal audit, corporate accounting, fixed assets, tax, or accounting policy. This role involves participating in team meetings and contributing to special projects to build your understanding of the utility industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Assist with tax computations, returns, and audit documentation.
- Participate in internal audit activities, including reviewing controls and compliance processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Location: Novi, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
