About the role#
KBRA is hiring interns for a 10-week summer program running from June 2 through August 5, 2027. You will join a Structured Finance credit rating team to gain experience in securitization, which involves assets transferred to special-purpose entities to issue debt. You will work within one of four sub-groups: Asset-Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, or Structured Credit.
What you'll do#
- Gather, input, and analyze data to support team operations.
- Assist with surveillance and new issuance deal workflows.
- Help analysts prepare credit committee materials.
- Test analytical models and tools.
- Draft sample credit reports.
- Present mock transactions in committee-style settings.
- Complete a capstone project for presentation to senior staff.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate concentration in finance, accounting, business, economics, or real estate.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A strong desire to learn data and finance analysis.
- The ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with others.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based in New York, New York.
- You are expected to be in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
- The position is paid at a base rate of $26 per hour.
