    About the role#

    KBRA is hiring interns for a 10-week summer program running from June 2 through August 5, 2027. You will join a Structured Finance credit rating team to gain experience in securitization, which involves assets transferred to special-purpose entities to issue debt. You will work within one of four sub-groups: Asset-Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, or Structured Credit.

    What you'll do#

    • Gather, input, and analyze data to support team operations.
    • Assist with surveillance and new issuance deal workflows.
    • Help analysts prepare credit committee materials.
    • Test analytical models and tools.
    • Draft sample credit reports.
    • Present mock transactions in committee-style settings.
    • Complete a capstone project for presentation to senior staff.

    What you'll need#

    • An undergraduate concentration in finance, accounting, business, economics, or real estate.
    • Proficiency in Excel.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • A strong desire to learn data and finance analysis.
    • The ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with others.
    • Familiarity with Generative AI tools is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in New York, New York.
    • You are expected to be in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
    • The position is paid at a base rate of $26 per hour.
