About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 12, 2027. You will report to the HSE Manager and assist in coordinating safety policies and plans across our manufacturing sites. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with legislation and reducing site risk.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and support the HSE Management System.
- Advise the HSE manager on ways to reduce site risk.
- Develop and implement safety initiatives to improve performance.
- Support environmental and sustainability goals, including Zero Waste to Landfill and ISO 14001 certification.
- Assist with policy development, inspections, and audits.
- Lead incident investigations and deliver HSE training.
- Engage with employees at all levels to promote safety.
- Support North American HSE projects and programs.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or environment related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Planning, computer, and problem-solving abilities.
- A curious mindset.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position.
- Potential locations include Beloit, WI; Clark, NJ; Rome, GA; Manitowoc, WI; Jackson, TN; Sturtevant, WI; Rochester, MN; and Rothschild, WI.
- The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.
