About the role#
We are looking for a developer to join our Machine Learning team for a Winter 2027 internship. You will work on real-world supply chain planning solutions and gain hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of deploying machine learning software into production systems. You will be treated like a full-time developer, working under the guidance of a mentor to build code that impacts our users.
What you'll do#
- Write Python code for microservice architectures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI platform.
- Participate in agile processes, including sprint planning, huddles, and pair programming.
- Develop new product ideas and create demos for executives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 2 years in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning through previous work terms, hackathons, or competitions.
- A strong interest in applying Machine Learning to solve practical problems.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and GitHub Actions is beneficial.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time position for a 4 or 8-month term starting in January 2027.
- The role is paid at an hourly rate of $27.04 to $39.66.
- Work is remote for most locations. If you are based in Ottawa or Toronto, you must be in the office at least three days per week.
