About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team in Phoenix for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship running for 11 weeks from June 1st to August 13th. You will gain hands-on experience in a laboratory environment while supporting diagnostic workflows and various laboratory projects.
What you'll do#
- Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
- Assist with non-testing tasks including specimen organization, inventory management, and workspace preparation.
- Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
- Support approved laboratory projects.
- Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- An interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow specific laboratory procedures.
- Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
- Initiative to take on tasks and learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $17.75 to $22.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
