About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Dallas, Texas. You will work on-site within the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems line of business. This program provides hands-on experience by pairing you with experienced engineers to support the development and manufacturing of infrared and electro-optical solutions.
What you'll do#
- Perform board-level testing and troubleshooting.
- Assist with printed circuit board design, including schematic and layout tasks.
- Support parts procurement and research alternate parts.
- Conduct design analysis and calculations under supervision.
- Perform limited scope testing and gather data for engineering projects.
- Assist engineers with design details and carry out assigned work instructions.
- Complete tasks on time while learning company methods and engineering practices.
- Support and communicate the mission and values of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university engineering program with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Pursuing an undergraduate or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively through documentation, data analysis, and presentations.
- Diligent, self-driven, and detail-oriented work habits.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain or maintain an active DOD security clearance.
