About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in our Columbia, Maryland office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects as part of our 12-week summer program.
What you'll do#
You will support various engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills. Your daily work includes assisting with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations. You will also help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions. We look for you to maintain project documentation and complete all assigned training. You are expected to exercise ethical decision-making and follow company policies regarding conduct and resources.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Age 18 or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Interest in electrical engineering and a desire to improve your skills.
- Competent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to take direction from managers and mentors.
- Basic proficiency in technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A history of upholding workplace safety.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.
