About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects as part of our 12-week summer program. This role focuses on developing your technical, social, and ethical skills through hands-on experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training modules assigned to your role.
- Perform various engineering tasks to build your professional aptitude.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A willingness and ability to travel to local project sites.
