About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Geotechnical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will work from our Wexford, Pennsylvania office. This 12-week program begins on May 17, 2027, though start dates may be flexible. You will work alongside senior staff on active projects to gain hands-on experience and professional mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to build your technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn the basic principles of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and follow company policies regarding resources and conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A demonstrated interest in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle screening.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- Compensation: $23.03 to $29.96 per hour.
