About the role#
WSP is hiring a Geology Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, 12-week position starting May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to gain hands-on experience in the Earth and Environment sector.
What you'll do#
- Support environmental tasks to build technical and professional skills.
- Assist with project research, field work, data analysis, and reporting.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Prepare project drawings and maps.
- Complete training on assigned tasks and follow company safety policies.
- Travel occasionally based on project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program for Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical and wear a tight-fitting respirator.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to take direction from mentors and communicate effectively with different audiences.
Location & details#
- Locations: Oakland, CA or Rancho Cordova, CA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.60 - $30.53 per hour.
- Note: This role does not provide relocation or housing assistance.
