About the role#
The Merchandising Product Design Admin Intern supports the Miles Hard Goods Division. You will assist the creative and merchandising teams in bringing home decor products from concept to reality. This role provides hands-on experience in trend research, product development, and daily creative operations.
What you'll do#
- Research current home decor trends to help build seasonal mood boards and color palettes.
- Support the product development lifecycle by organizing design sketches and updating style sheets.
- Coordinate the logistics of product and decor samples, including unpacking, labeling, and tracking approvals.
- Track product artwork timelines and gather packaging details.
- Organize and prepare product specifications and visual presentation materials for client meetings.
- Support communication between local creative teams, overseas offices, and vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student or recent graduate in Merchandising, Interior Design, Fashion, Product Development, Marketing, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Media Studies, or a related creative field.
- A strong eye for home decor trends, color, and textile aesthetics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in design software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva as a plus.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship based in Chicago, Illinois.
