About the role#
Lila Sciences is hiring a Software Product Management Co-Op for the Fall 2026 term. This role sits at the intersection of science, software engineering, and product development. You will help improve our scientific software platform by translating user needs into clear requirements. You will gain hands-on experience in the product lifecycle while working directly with scientists and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Shadow scientists and other users to understand their software and workflow needs.
- Groom product backlogs alongside product, science, and engineering partners.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria based on ambiguous requirements.
- Triage recurring user feedback and convert it into actionable tickets.
- Own a small scoped feature or workflow improvement from initial discovery through final delivery.
- Partner with teams to clarify requirements and assess workflow impact.
What you'll need#
- Interest in product management, scientific workflows, lab operations, or software systems.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort working with cross-functional partners across science, product, and engineering.
- Ability to observe workflows, ask thoughtful questions, and synthesize user needs.
- Organized approach to tracking tasks, decisions, and follow-ups.
- Students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Biology, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Psychology are encouraged to apply.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
