About the role#
Bild AI is looking for an AI/SWE intern to join our engineering team in San Francisco. You will work on technical challenges like blueprint reading, cost estimation, and permit applications. Our goal is to make building homes, hospitals, and schools faster and more affordable.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer vision, LLMs, and AI systems to solve real construction problems.
- Ship prototypes quickly and iterate based on feedback from contractors and architects.
- Take full ownership of your intern project, from initial research through to production.
What you'll need#
- Experience as a 0-to-1 builder with AI in production.
- A growth mindset.
- Direct communication skills that balance empathy and honesty.
- Willingness to engage with messy, unglamorous work.
- Applied experience with computer vision or machine learning.
- Interest in construction, architecture, or real estate.
- Experience building products that people have used or paid for.
- Motivation to make housing and building more affordable.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in San Francisco, California.
- The term is Summer 2026.
- We will assist with internship logistics.
