About the role#
This internship at our Fori Automation facility in Shelby Township, Michigan, connects your academic background with hands-on experience in industrial automation. You will work alongside engineers to design and implement advanced systems. This role includes participation in an Immersion Day at our headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, during the first few weeks of the program.
What you'll do#
- Design controls, hardware, and software for industrial automation equipment.
- Debug and troubleshoot PLC software.
- Maintain task lists and reports of open items.
- Create and maintain project design documentation and prepare customer deliverables.
- Ensure the controls engineering process is followed and tracked.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
- Openness to traveling within the U.S.
