About the role#
This internship is a DoD SkillBridge opportunity for service members in their final 180 days of active duty. The program lasts between 90 and 120 days. You will learn our processes, people, and culture while developing skills for a potential transition into a full-time role. We aim to provide a pathway to employment for those who meet training objectives.
What you'll do#
- Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to your team to ensure productivity.
- Manage operational procedures, including incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise organization, and warehouse inventory.
- Plan production schedules and allocate resources while maintaining accurate time and production records.
- Track warehouse activities such as sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure product availability.
- Send regular reports to designated plant personnel.
- Work with machinery and material handling equipment, resolve employee issues, and perform assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program per DODI 1322.29.
- Two years of leadership experience in warehouse or logistics environments.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Strong conflict management skills.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, ranging from -20 Fahrenheit in cold storage to 100 Fahrenheit in dry storage, while wearing required protective gear.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work a flexible schedule, including weekends if necessary.
- Comfort working in environments with varying noise levels.
