About the role#
This is a part-time pharmacy student position based in a community retail setting. You will gain practical experience to complement your academic studies while preparing for a future career as a pharmacist. The role involves working within a team to support pharmacy operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide a positive shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Participate in the daily practice of a community pharmacy.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of community pharmacists.
- Assist with patient counseling and services such as MEDSCHECK under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Develop skills required to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, employees, and healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter products and disease state management.
- Ability to work in a community pharmacy setting.
- Candidates must be 18 years or older and are required to complete a criminal background check.

- Compensation: $18.60 to $19.55 per hour.
