About the role#
The Football Affairs Fellow supports the development and delivery of programs, resources, and experiences for Los Angeles Rams players and their families. Working within the Football Affairs team, you will contribute to family programming, communications, events, onboarding, and day-to-day support. This 12-month fellowship offers hands-on experience in a professional sports environment with potential for a 12-month extension.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a point of contact for players, coaches, and staff partners while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Assist with family needs regarding gameday, ticketing, travel, and team events.
- Coordinate logistics for family-focused events, including invitations, vendors, food, and setup.
- Support onboarding for new players and their families.
- Create and distribute weekly communications to families.
- Help families navigate the challenges of professional football, such as relocation and community integration.
- Collaborate with Team Operations to ensure a positive experience for families.
- Track event expenses, invoices, and participation data to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Research and prepare materials for player and family education.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in professional sports, player development, family services, or event management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency with standard workplace technology.
- Experience in sports, hospitality, or community engagement is preferred.
- Training in counseling, social work, or crisis intervention is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Woodland Hills, California.
- The schedule requires flexibility, including availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, training camp, and gamedays.
- Local travel may be required.
