About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service. The program is designed to help you build business skills and prepare for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Gain experience delivering customer service and resolving issues.
- Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Collaborate on a project with other interns and leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate various computer programs and systems.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to move around, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds.
